London brewers bring British craft beer to Madrid
Two London brewers came to Madrid last year to set up Oso Brew Co. and La Osita, a tap room in the heart of La Latina, “to make beer people come back to”, as the brewers told The Madrid Metropolitan, a free English language magazine. David Ross and Patrick Tuck, the co-founders, of Oso Brew Co. met in a pub in Madrid over ten years ago. The men began brewing at home, tweaking their recipes and sharing bottles with friends before using professional equipment. Now, they own a tap room bar, La Osita that offers two core beers: a table beer Cerveza de Mesa and a Citrus Cream Ale. La Osita also has guest beers from Madrid, Spain and across the world.

Wine and olive oil makers in Spain are bracing for the proposed U.S. tariffs of up to 25%, according to El País. Olive exports accounted for €155.4 million in sales during 2018, according to El País. The U.S. Department of Trade released a list of 150 Spanish products that could be hit by the proposed tariffs. If the World Trade Organization approves Trump’s imposed tariffs, the European Commission may retaliate and impose tariffs on US imports.
